24 Hours in Bangkok – What to Do and Where to Go

I literally spent 24 hours in Bangkok. That wasn’t my first time there though so I was a bit familiar with the city. The first time I’ve been there was in 2012. Three years later, I was back. This time however, I decided to visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Chocolate Ville.

My flight was an hour delayed because of some weird reason. We were all set and the plane was about to take off when an announcement was made saying that we had to go back to the gate because one of the passengers travel document was incomplete. I didn’t know how it happened but that was really strange.

Here’s a list of the things we did and places we’ve gone to during our 24-hour stay in Bangkok.

It was just an over the weekend trip yet truly wonderful (and definitely exhausting!) I spent the travel time going to the floating market sleeping since I only had an hour and a half sleep the night before. During my last visit, my friends and I joined a group tour going to the temples. This time, I decided to travel on my own. Travelling around the city by train was easy, cheap and comfortable. There were directions written in English so I didn’t get lost. It was a different experience with the local taxi drivers though. All of them (whom I’ve spoken to) didn’t know how to speak English and even if I had the address written down, they still didn’t understand what I was trying to say. If you are travelling to Thailand in the future and have plans of taking taxis from one place to another, I suggest you have the address written down in Thai.

Ciao for now, bellas! I am still (a bit) exhausted at the moment. I will blog about some travel tips soon!
