Pasta with Tomato Sauce, Cottage Cheese, and Coriander

What You Need:
  • 250 grams San Remo Linguine Pasta No. 1
  • 7 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro leaves
  • 1 small can Hunt’s tomato sauce
  • 4 tablespoons cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon real Bacon bits
  • Grated cheese (optional topping)
Instructions:
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside.
  • Place the pan on the burner over a medium heat and add butter. Add onion and a pinch of salt. Add garlic and cook until golden brown.
  • Pour in tomato sauce, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and bacon bits. Stir to mix well and let it simmer for 1 minute.
  • Turn the heat down to very low then add cooked pasta. Add ½ tablespoon chopped cilantro leaves and stir well to coat the pasta completely.
  • Twirl the noodles onto a serving plate and sprinkle with grated cheese and the remaining chopped cilantro leaves.
  • Serve with homemade bread pizza.
