Steamed Chocolate Cupcakes

What You Need :
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup + 7 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions :
  • Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
  • Add egg, extra virgin olive oil, milk, and vanilla essence and continue mixing until well blended.
  • Grease moulds with butter and then pour the mixture into the moulds. 
  • Steam the cupcakes for about 18-23 minutes. You may check whether or not the cupcake is done by inserting a toothpick or a wooden skewer in the centre. The toothpick should come out clean. If it isn't done yet, steam again for another 5 minutes.
  • Take the cakes out of the steamer and let them cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Top with chocolate ganache and serve with homemade mint tea with lemon.
