Homemade Beef Burger with Barbecue Sauce

What You Need:
  • 1 pound fresh ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup barbecue sauce
  • Hamburger buns
  • Butter
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cheese slices
  • Iceberg Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato, sliced
  • Onion, sliced into rings
For the sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • In a container, combine 1 pound ground beef, egg, barbecue sauce, and a pinch of pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion with your hand into a patty.
  • Season each portion with salt.
  • Heat extra virgin olive oil in a large, non-stick frying pan over low-medium heat. Cook 3 patties at a time for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until the patties turn brown. Repeat with the remaining patties.
  • Heat one teaspoon of butter in a pan over low-medium heat. Put hamburger buns in a pan and cook for two minutes. Flip the hamburger buns and cook for another two minutes or until slightly golden. Repeat with the remaining hamburger buns.
  • Spread sauce over the bases of the buns. Place a burger on each bun, top with cheese, tomato, onion, and lettuce.
  • Serve with homemade watermelon milkshake.
