Osaka, Nara and Mt. Koya in 4 Days

Day 1. Osaka
Buy an Eco Card. This is a one day ride-all-you-ride ticket for Osaka’s subways.

  3. Sumiyoshi Taisha
  4. Shintennoji Temple - Gokoraku-jodo Garden, Treasure House
  5. HEP Five Ferris Wheel
  6. Dotonbori
  7. Shinsekai
Day 2. Nara
Buy a Single Ticket.

How to get there from Nagahoribashi Station: Take Sakaisuji Line subway towards Tengachaya and get off the train at  Nipponbashi Station (1min, 1stop). Walk to Kintetsunipponbashi Station (7min to make a transfer). Take Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kintetsunara (36min, 7stops). Get off at Kintetsunara Station and then walk to Gangō-ji (14min).

  11. Kasuga-yama Hill Primeval Forest 
  12. Shin-Yakushi-ji
Walking from one temple to another takes  approximately 10-15 minutes.

Day 3. Mount Koya (You may buy a Koya San Free Service Pass which is available at stations on the Nankai Dentetsu Line. This is a set of round-trip tickets to Koya-san and a free bus pass for the Koya-san area. This ticket also entitles you to a 20% reduction on the admission charge at some of the temples.)

How to get there from Nagahoribashi Station: Take Sakaisuji Line subway towards Tengachaya and get off at Tengachaya Station (8min, 4stops).  At Tengachaya Station - Platform 1, take Nankai koya Line train towards Hashimoto (46 min, 12stops). From Hashimoto Station take Nankai Koya Line towards Gokurakubashi and get off at Gokurakubashi Station (37min, 9stops). Take cable car towards Koya-San (5min, 1stop). Take a 17-minute bus ride from the station to Daimon.

Day 4. Universal Studios Japan
   
   How to get there from Nagahoribashi Station: Take Sakaisuji Line subway towards Tengachaya and get off at Nipponbashi Station (1min, 1stop). Walk to Kintetsunipponbashi Staiton (5min to make a transfer). Take Kintetsu Nara Line towards Amagasaki. Stay on board as the train travel towards Amagasaki. Alight at Nishikujo Station. Take JR Sakurajima Line train towards Sakurajima (4min,2stops). Universal City Station. Walk to USJ (5min).

Travel tip: Wear a pair of comfortable shoes. If you are visiting Mount Koya, make sure to bring a light jacket because the weather on top of the mountain is cold.
